Apple Yum

Apple pie is so yummy.  But it takes a long time to make lattice crust (not to mention that my favorite homemade pie crust requires over an hour of refrigeration).  So, instead of making crust and using a canned filling, this time, I made the filling and used crescent rolls.  The result was so good!  It only took about 20 minutes to peel, cut and cook the apple with brown sugar and cinnamon*.  Then I placed about a spoonful of apple goodness into each crescent roll and pinched them shut.  Sprinkled some cinnamon-sugar on top of each apple muffin and in the oven they went.  Baked in a greased muffin pan at 400 for about 11 minutes.

Voila! A yummy semi-homemade apple pie-ish desert in about 40 minutes.

*other ingredients: a little milk, and little flour.

Next time you should use your apple peeler to do the apples for this desert!
